Manufacture Advance Via Barcoding and Tracing (MAVBaT) Platform

Based on lentiviral barcoding technology (Lenti-bar), we can label and track hematopoietic stem cells at the single-cell level. Barcoded human hematopoietic stem cells using our platform are transplanted into immunodeficient mice after ex vivo expansion. As our barcoding system could be detected using scRNA-seq, combining the single cell gene expression profile and barcodes makes it feasible to trace the differentiation trajectory of HSCs in vivo and to high-throughput screen ex vivo HSC expansion strategies.


MAVBaT will help to elucidate the molecular mechanism of hematopoietic stem cell replication and differentiation in vivo, and to optimize the ex vivo culture strategies of hematopoietic stem cells. Moreover, MAVBaT can be also used to optimize the manufacture process of other cell therapies in an efficient way.
